Jimmy Buckets is a Stone Cold Killer

Last night Jimmy Butler did it again. His buzzer beater against the Brooklyn Nets puts the Sixers at 14-8 and places them at the third spot in the Eastern Conference standings. What can we say? It looks like the Sixers made the right move.

Like I mentioned in previous articles, Dario and RoCo were good players that could put points on the board, but not impactful points that propelled the Sixers to wins. Butler finished the game with a Sixer high 34 points and scored meaningful buckets when they were needed down the stretch which included going for 18 points on perfect seven for seven and a perfect four for four from downtown not to mention a game-winning three pointer. He has shown an ability to score in iso situations and most importantly score points that will bring the Sixers back into the game.

Butler has seamlessly fit into the starting lineup and seems to be meshing with his teammates on and off the court. Even going to the point where he’s saying he’s finally “having fun” and saying he could “see this city as home for awhile.” As the chaotic Fultz situation comes to a even more chaotic conclusion, it’s nice to know we have Mr. Butler as a piece that will lead to ample success in the Eastern Conference.
