The Daily Action 5/8

Introducing a new series of articles that will be published on days with two or more games that show value. The Daily Action is a sports betting preview that provides readers with some potential money making opportunities. It is a rocky road but in a statistics based industry, there are certain games that provide an advantage to the bettor, here are the lines I like for May 8th, 2019,

1.) Minnesota Twins First 5 innings Moneyline (-115) vs. Toronto Blue Jays:

Over the Last 30 days, the Twins are 3rd in First 5 innings runs scored while the Blue Jays sit at 26th. In this span, the Twins rank 5th in OPS (On-base plus slugging, the ability of a player both to get on base and to hit for power) vs right handed pitching, while the Jays, again prove inferior currently ranked 24th. The Twins have an MLB-best 20-8-3 F5 record vs RHP. Moreover, I give Kyle Gibson the edge over Trent Thornton.

2.) Royal Team Total Over 3.5 (-115) vs. Houston Astros:

Brad Peacock is on the mound for the Astros and KC ranks a surprising 4th in OPS vs RHP over the last 30 days. Kansas City ranks second in runs scored over this span and Peacock is sporting a questionable 5.28 ERA on the season.

3.) Los Angeles Angels vs. Detroit Tigers F5 Under 4 runs (Ev +100)

Matt Boyd has an F5 FIP of 2.03 and over the last 30 days, Angels rank 25th in OPS vs LHP. Tyler Skaggs has allowed 2 or fewer runs in 4 of his 5 starts + Detroit ranks 29th in F5 runs over the L30 days.

Best of luck if you decide to tail, YTD 0-0
